What Happened in Tower of God Season 2, Episode #7?
Viole’s Motives Are Laid Bare for Wangnan and the Team
Viole and the team find their zygaena’s flower exercise screeching to a halt when a mysterious assailant bearing the name “Mazino” tattooed on his back catches a juvenile zygaena inTower of Godseason 2, episode #7. Viole is challenged to a fight by this intruder, who senses danger from the young FUG slayer, and in immediate response, Horyang urges Prince to retreat. However, this is revealed to be a ruse, asHoryang knows the zygaena will turn over soon, so he tries to gather the rest of the team to seize the advantage against Mazino.
This episode is one of the most fascinating, showcasing Viole’s team and how they can cooperate to protect one another, for better or worse.
While this ploy works well initially, Miseng eventually finds herself nearly caught in a deadly crossfire between Viole and Mazino while pursuing the baby carrying the zygaena’s flower.Mazino notes Viole’s sudden shift, clearly switching priorities to protect Miseng, taking a hideous blow and ending the fight. While Viole recovers thanks to a strange, blood-red exoskeleton that heals his wounds, Mazino leaves with the baby zygaena, revealing that another loose flower nearby is available for the team to take and complete the exercise.
Outside, Mazino confronts the exam proctor about the true intentions of this exercise, indicating corruption in the Tower andnoting the significance of Jue Viole Grace as a young FUG slayer. Viole is left out of commission for the rest of the episode, with his team briefly reflecting on whether keeping him along is safe, only to remain steadfast to their most powerful member. Meanwhile, Yihwa motivates herself to grow as an ally to Viole and the team, and Wangnan learns from Hwarun where he can find Viole’s allies asTower of Godseason 2 approaches the next arc.
