As Keaton’s values align withColter’sTrackerteam, they quickly trust one another and co-work on their cases. The self-proclaimed"rewardist"helps the retired officer catch his killer. Still, the mystery continues as Colter tries to unravel what transpired between the missing friends, as it’s unrelated to a string of previous crimes. Ultimately, Colter uncovers the awful circumstances that have occurred after finding one hiker murdered. Colter Shaw resolves the case in “Trust Fall,” which opens the door for another mystery to continue, adding a recurring character to theTrackercast.

Tracker Season 2, Episode 6 Finally Remembers Gina Picket

Tracker Season 2, Episode 1 Introduced Gina Picket’s Missing Person Case

In theTrackerseason 2 premiere, the series introduces a long-term mystery that plagues Hartley’s character.“Out of the Past” features Camille Picket (Floriana Lima), whose sister Gina went missinga decade ago. Colter developed a relationship with her as he worked on the case. While Colter is always committed to solving every job, the case of Gina is particularly special to him since he hasn’t solved it. Colter enlists Keaton to help him with Gina’s case in “Trust Fall,” continuing a promising season 2 alliance and finally opening a door for Colter to resolve Gina’s disappearance.

Colter senses that he can trust the retired officer and appreciates that Keaton can understand how a case can haunt a person for years.

The series hasn’t mentioned Gina’s case since episode 1, and for an overarching narrative, that’s quite a long time to keep the plot on the shelf. Granted that Hartley’s character has been busy with all the jobs that he has taken since the sophomore year’s return, butTrackerneeds to bring up the matter every so often. This not only reminds viewers that the plot is still relevant, but it also emphasizes that despite focusing on other matters, Colter remains committed to solving it. With Keaton now involved, it’s curious whenTrackerwill finally solely tackle the case again.

Why Tracker Needs To Solve Gina Picket’s Storyline Sooner Rather Than Later

Colter Needs To Move On To What Happened To Ashton Shaw

After weeks of ignoring the matter, Colter must resolve the case of Gina’s disappearance sooner rather than later for a couple of reasons. Firstly, considering Colter’s constant moving for his jobs, it makes it more difficult to believe that any kind of progress is made for the matter if he’s far from Arkansas. InTrackerseason 2, episode 6, he’s in the Pacific Northwest, significantly far from where Gina has gone missing.

Tracker Season 2, Episode 5 Continues An Odd Storytelling Shift For Justin Hartley’s Hit Series

Tracker season 2, episode 5, “Preternatural,” continues a strange trend that might have major consequences for Justin Hartley’s Colter Shaw.

Secondly, the longer Colter takes to solve Gina’s case, the longer the show has a reason to push the case of Ashton Shaw’s death on the side. WhileJensen Ackles' return as Russelloffered some movement to the mystery, it’s barely enough to actually uncover what exactly happened to their father. Moving forward, it would be better if the Shaw family matter gets some clarification inTrackerseason 2.
