Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Transformers One!Transformers Oneincludes multiple post-credits scenes that help set up the franchise’s potential future. The 2024 animated movie is a clean break from Paramount’s live-action franchise that goes back to explore the origins of Optimus Prime and Megatron. The two might start off the movie as friends, but by the timeTransformers One’s endingcomes to a close, they are certified enemies after fighting for the future of Cybertron. It leaves Optimus Prime as the leader of the Autobots and Cybertron, while Megatron is banished with the High Guard, leaving the door open for more adventures.
SinceTransformers Onetakes place millions of years ago and is seeminglydisconnected from theTransformerstimeline, the movie works as the potential starting spot for a new era of the franchise. There are hopes that an animated trilogy will happen as a result of the 2024 film, so it should come as no surprise thatTransformers Onedoes have post-credits scenesteasing what else could come. The live-actionTransformersmovieshave not been averse from including credits scenes to set up the future, and now the animated side of the franchise does the same in a significant capacity.

Transformers One’s Mid-Credits Scene Reunites Bumblebee With His “Friends”
B-127 Returns To Sublevel 50 For A Comedic Scene
The first ofTransformers One’s credits scenes occurs early on after the credits begin. The movieuses the mid-credits scene to continue B-127’s storyand show what happens to him after helping Optimus Prime become the leader of Cybertron and earn his trust. The fan-favorite Autobot returns to sublevel 50, where he first meets Orion Pax and D-16, and has a quick reunion with his “friends,” the makeshift robots he built like A-atron. B-127 shares the excitement about his new abilities with them, but it goes awry when his knife hands emerge and he “kills” two of them.
Transformers One(2024)
Yes, Mid & Post-Credits Scenes
Transformers One’s mid-credits scene is primarily an excuse for the movie to deliver one more joke with Bumblebee. This is not used as an opportunity to set up the next chapter of B-127’s story and reveal significant information. However, it still does have some bearing on the franchise’s future. This scene acts as Bumblebee’s return to where he came from so he can seemingly celebrate the fact thathe’s now working with Optimus Prime and won’t need to be underground anymore. Effectively, this is the end of B-127’s time in the sublevels of Cybertron.
Megatron Forms The Decepticons In Transformers One’s Post-Credits Scene
The Decepticons Become Official After Their Banishment
Transformers One’s post-credits scene is a much bigger deal, as it returns audiences to Megatron’s story. The scene begins with Megatron talking about how Sentinel Prime is dead but thata new, stronger, and more personal enemy has been created. The enemy he refers to is the Decepticons, the evil group of Transformers he has now formed. Megatron ushers in the first collection of Decepticons by saying,“We will not be blinded by his deception. We are the ones who are Decepticons. Rise up!”
As Megatron’s speech plays out,Transformers One’s post-credits scene confirms a few details about Megatron’s Decepticons. They are still located on Cybertron, although they have been banished from Iacon City. Megatron has also embraced the Megatronus Prime engraving Sentinel Prime put on his chest andturns Megatronus' symbol into the branding for all Decepticons. The credits scene shows a few different members of the Decepticons being branded with the symbol, making their affiliation with Megatron clear for all to see.

Who Is Part Of Megatron’s Decepticons Team
The First Four Decepticon Members Are Confirmed
The creation of the Decepticons means that a few ofTransformers One’s Autobot and Decepticon charactersare now officially part of the new team. The first confirmed member of the group is Megatron. As the leader of the Decepticons throughout most of Transformers lore and the one responsible for creating them inTransformers One, there is no debate or surprise that he is counted among the team members. Whilethe credits scene shows countless unidentifiable characters as part of Megatron’s army, a few notable characters are aligned with him now.
Just as Megatron’s presence as a Decepticon member is unsurprising, neither is the confirmation thatTransformers One’s Starscreamjoined him. He is one of three characters outright shown to have the Decepticon symbol branded on their robotic bodies. The other two confirmed Decepticon members are Shockwave and Soundwave. Megatron encountered Starscream, Soundwave, and Shockwave after learning the truth about Sentinel Prime, and he quickly overpowered Starscream in front of the entire High Guard. Sincethe High Guard was banished with Megatron, it makes sense that they’d be part of his Decepticon ranks.

Starscream, Shockwave, and Soundwave were all part of the Decepticons in Michael Bay’s Transformers movies
Starscream, Shockwave, and Soundwave are some of the biggest Decepticons in theTransformersfranchise, making them excellent choices to be included in Megatron’s team from the start. Starscream is typically portrayed as Megatron’s often untrustworthy and power-hungry right-hand man, a Decepticon Commander, and a deadly Seeker. Shockwave is a logical engineer who is also dangerously powerful. Meanwhile, Soundwave is one of Megatron’s most loyal Decepticons in any iteration of the Transformers, serving a more significant purpose than a communications officer. Starscream, Shockwave, and Soundwave become the foundation for Megatron’s Decepticons to grow from afterTransformers One.

What Megatron’s Transformers One Post-Credits Scene Means For The Future
The Decepticons Are Ready For War With Optimus Prime
The confirmation that Megatron has started the Decepticons inTransformers One’s post-credits scene is a big deal for the franchise’s future. Optimus Prime has already formed the Autobots by the time the movie ends, and he has Elita and Bumblebee by his side.Megatron is now given an army to go to war with Optimus Primeas he seeks revenge. It was clear in Megatron and Optimus Prime’s final exchange that the conflict between former friends was just beginning, as the new Decepticon leader tells him,“This isn’t over Prime,“before leaving Iacon City with the High Guard.
Now that the Decepticons are formed, Megatron has the firepower behind him to make good on this promise. He can lead Starscream, Soundwave, and Shockwave into battle with many other Decepticons by their side. This will lead to a new Cybertronian Civil Waras the Decepticons and Autobots battle for power, Energon, and the future of their race. Fighting over Cybertron is a common story across theTransformersmythos, and it enablesTransformers One’s sequels to naturally build to Megatron and Optimus Prime fighting once again.
After all, the Decepticons are typically portrayed as the ones who “win” the war for Cybertron, often forcing the Autobots to flee for their own safety. Megatron is now in the early stages of putting together an army that can accomplish the planetary takeover - and possibly expand his empire beyond. How this shakes out in theTransformers Onecontinuity remains to be seen. But what is clear is that Megatron is here to stay and his quest for power and revenge on Optimus Prime is just beginning.
