With theatrical interest in the franchise not being overly enthusiastic (and the critical responses tending to be mixed), it’s not surprising that a fourth film has taken so long to get off the ground. The premise of Riddick returning to his home planet where he faces off against a new enemy could suggest thatRiddick: Furyawill serve as something of a fresh start for the franchise.
