Below Deck Down Underviewers have been waiting for another season of the Australian iteration of the series for over a year, and I’m looking forward to seeing some exciting things when it’s finally released. As one of the currently airingBelow Deckspin-offs,Below Deck Down Underhas been one of the highly anticipated returns in the franchise. Led by Aussie Captain Jason Chambers,Below Deck Down Underseason 2has been praised as one of the best seasons in the franchise’s history. The crew, the drama, and the locations created the perfect storm for aBelow Deckseason.
AlthoughBelow Deck Down Underhas been on hiatus for over a year, many are still thinking about the big drama of the last season. While it wasn’t necessarily the most positive, the management shown by Captain Jason and hisChief Stew at the time, Aesha Scott, was impeccable and led to serious conversations about safety on the superyacht. With Captain Jason confirming that the drama of last season has pushed the series to put some new policies and procedures in place,Below Deck Down Underviewers are excited to see what the series is like in its next season.

AfterBelow Deck Down Underseason 2’sLuke Jones sexual misconduct scandal, which led to his termination from the luxury superyacht, was shown on the series, viewers began to take the show a bit more seriously. I appreciated how Captain Jason and Aesha handled the situation and enjoyed that it wasn’t glossed over within the show itself. While I don’t anticipate seeing anything quite so troubling onBelow Deck Down Underseason 3,I’m hopeful that the drama will be intriguing, the crew will be capable, and Captain Jason will be there to steer the shipand carry the drama.
Captain Jason Chambers Needs To Bond With The New Crew
The Captain Has The Unique Ability To Create A New Culture
Although in past seasons ofBelow Deck Down Under,Captain Jason had a specific batch of crew members he worked with closely, he’s in a unique position coming into the next season of the series. As a superyacht captain,Jason knows that it’s imperative to keep a tight-knit bond with his crew without getting too closefor comfort. Though he’s used to allowing his department heads to take on closer relationships with the crew,Jason has the potential to make changesin the way his team is run from the inside out.

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.
With a new crew coming intoBelow Deck Down Underseason 3, and especially without the presence of his original Chief Stew Aesha, Jason will be able to forge new relationships with the yachties he’s working with. While he may not get along with everyone, Jason’s going to be able to gauge who he can build relationships with quickly, and understand who may take some work moving forward.I’m hoping to see even more Captain Jason onBelow Deck Down Underseason 3, so closer relationships with the crew would make that more probable.

The BDDU Crew Needs To Find Their New Groove Without Aesha Scott
The Crew Is Assumed To Be Mostly New Yachties
Although the majority of theBelow Deck Down Underseason 3 crewis rumored to be new yachties, there are hopefully going to be a few familiar faces aboard the superyacht to usher in the new season. While there seem to be two cast members that have been confirmed aside from CaptainJasonto be returning, the majority of the cast members will be fresh faces that we as viewers will have to make our own judgments on as the season moves along.Deckhand Harry van Vliet and Chef Tzarina Mace-Ralphwill likely be coming back for another charter season.
Although there will be a mix of new and returning yachties, the crew will have the chance to bond in the same way that allBelow Deckcrews have. Though there will likely be some bumps in the road, seeinga cast that can enjoy each other and engage in drama is always interesting. Without Aesha, who tends to be the glue that hold yacht crews together, it’ll be interesting to see what happens with thecrew ofBelow Deck Down Underseason 3.

The Drama Of Below Deck Down Under Needs To Stay High
The Series Thrives On High Drama
While I’m not necessarily interested in seeing the same type of drama that happened in the last season ofBelow Deck Down Under,Iwould love to see the level of drama stay high on the series.Below Deckfranchise shows get somewhat stagnant when there’s no undercurrent of drama within the crew, so keeping the drama level high is imperative. Whether it’s crew members struggling to get along, issues with charter guests, boatmances, or a mix of all three, I’m excited to see what happenswith Captain Jason and the new crewofBelow Deck Down Underseason 3.
