Pokémon Legends: Z-Ais set to finally arrive late next year, and countless fans around the world have been eagerly awaiting an update. One of the biggest questions that hasn’t yet been answered iswhat Pokémon will receive new forms or evolutionsin this past version of Kalos. Out of over a thousand monsters that currently exist, there is a hope that Eevee could perhaps be one of these lucky Pokémon.

Eevee is such a beloved Pokémon primarily due to the fact that ithas eight different evolutions, with each having its own unique typing. However, there arenumerous unused Pokémon typesthat Eevee still doesn’t have evolutions for, and fans have spent years coming up with theories as to what the next one could be. Out of the ten remaining types, the Poison-type would absolutely make the most sense inLegends Z-A.

Poison Is the Perfect Antithesis To Sylveon

A Duo Representing Life & Death

In the past, new eeveelutions were often debuted in pairs, with one having the type advantage over the other. Besides the original trio, the only exception to this was the Fairy-type Sylveon, who firstappeared inPokémon X & Ywith no counterpart in sight. Out of the three types that are strong against Fairy, Poison would be the most anticipated and visually striking one by far, as it would provide the perfect contrast to Sylveon’s happy and adorable appearance.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A Has The Best Opportunity To Start An Exciting Pokémon Tradition

The Pokémon franchise has the potential to see the beginning of an exciting new tradition when Pokémon Legends: Z-A is finally released.

A Poison-type eeveelution would also be perfect given how it and Sylveon would connect to the themes ofX & Y. WhileSylveon represents purity and life, the Poison-type would represent sickness and death. These details ultimately help to create a subtle nod to both Xerneas and Yvetal.

A Poison-Type Eeveelution Could Be A Great Addition To A Villain’s Team

A Fitting Eeveelution Both In Terms Of Visuals & Gameplay

Although there has still been no indication as to whatLegends: Z-A’s narrativewill entail, it is exciting to speculate who or what the game’s main villain will be. Assuming that there is some form of an antagonist for the player to deal with, then a Poison-type eeveelution would be a fantastic member of their team. It would not only be visually imposing but also provide a challenge for players to handle with the use ofmoves that inflict the poison status condition.

Considering how beloved Eevee and its eeveelutions are, it should only be a matter of time before a new one is finally introduced. Given its potential for a unique design and its connections to Sylveon, a Poison-type evolution seems very plausible. With how much potentialPokémon Legends: Z-Ahas in terms of both gameplay and story, not including this eeveelution would be a huge wasted opportunity.
