Will Sara Be Punished For Gouging Out Elgin’s Eye In From Season 4?

Many Residents Will Want To Punish Her, But She Will Probably Be Okay

After Tillie (Deborah Grover) was murdered, many of the residents assumed Sara was to blame and wanted to see her punished for it. Donna Raines (Elizabeth Saunders) explained to Boyd thatthe residents never understood Boyd forgiving Sara and letting her live freely in the Town. When they learn of what Sara did to Elgin, they will have a new reason to demonize her and to call for her to be punished. However, the residents also will have plenty of reasons to be upset with Elgin, Fatima, and even with Boyd because of the secrets he concealed.

Sara’s unique connection to the voices and to the Town itself makes her invaluable, and punishing her does not help with any of the larger issues inFrom.

While there may be an outcry demanding that Sara be punished, focusing on this would be a mistake. Between the emergence of theMan in the Yellow Suit(Douglas E. Hughes) who killed Jim Matthews (Eion Bailey), the rebirth of Smiley (Jamie McGuire), and the discoveries made by Tabitha Matthews (Catalina Sandino Moreno) and Jade Herrera (David Alpay), the residents have more pressing concerns to deal with in season 4. Sara’s unique connection to the voices and to the Town itself makes her invaluable, and punishing her does not help with any of the larger issues inFrom.
