They’re apart right now, but the heroes of the Absolute Universe are eventually going to unite, and it’ll beWonder Womanleading the way.DC’s Absolute line is stillincredibly fresh, and its big heroes are scattered. But Diana is going to play a pivotal role in how this world eventually comes together.
Scott Snyder, writer ofAbsolute Batmanand architect of the Absolute Universe, spoke with the Word Balloon podcast onYouTube. Not only discuss his work on the revamped Dark Knight, he also discussed his collaborators and what the future holds for DC’s new takes on heroes.

Within this year probably right towards the end, in October or November. We are thinking of doing not an event, nothing like that. Nothing like oh these characters come together to fight something. It’s more like… we are talking about kinds of ideas where they are aware of each other these months because Wonder Woman is public, so Batman is discovering that at one point and you know Wonder Woman learns about the Bat person here and Alien over there as the first superhero she starts to question, should she go out and meet them so there’s kind of this feeling like that we are building on.
Snyder revealed that towards the end of this year, the heroes of the Absolute Universe are going to start to become aware of one another, largely because of Wonder Woman being a public hero. As she becomes aware of more heroes,Wonder Woman will start to question if she should meet her fellow heroes.

Absolute Wonder Woman is Getting Ready to Unite the Absolute Universe
The Absolute Universe’s Biggest Hero Will Seek Out Her Peers
After Darkseid’s death createdthe Absolute Universe, heroes began to emerge on the harsher and more corrupted Earth. Despite adversity being the guiding force in this world and their origins being radically altered, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman still took it upon themselves to use their powers and skills for the betterment of the world. They’ve each faced greater challenges than their Prime counterparts did when they first started out, fighting behemoths like the Tetracide or the Lazarus Corporation. But while each Absolute hero is fighting on their own, their relentless determination has helped them survive DC’s twisted new world.
While Snyder downplayed the idea of an immediate crossover, he did confirm that the gears were in motion for the Absolute heroes to unite. And honestly, it makes a lot of sense for Absolute Wonder Woman to be leading the charge. Absolute Superman is still figuring himself out and Absolute Batman is slammed trying to prevent Gotham from becoming a war zone.Absolute Wonder Woman, on the other hand, is in the best position to explore the world beyondand seek out people like herself. But what will drive Diana to find others, and what will that meeting be like?

Absolute Wonder Woman is the Perfect Unifier for DC’s Heroes
Her Tough and Charming Nature is Sure to Make a Lot of Allies
She might have been raised in hell, but Absolute Wonder Woman is just like her Prime Universe doppelgänger. An amazing, kind-hearted mediator. As one of the only public heroes right now, she’d almost certainly feel like working with others like her will help give them all a better chance at making the harsh and unforgiving realm they live in a more tolerable, even more peaceful place. Granted, given these other heroes' backgrounds, they might not be ready for a team-up just yet. Butif anyone can bring them around, it’s Wonder Woman.
Again, it’s going to be a while before the Absolute heroes ever meet. But there are plans to bring them all together and at the center of it all is Wonder Woman. Hopefully, when Diana does decide to venture out into the greater world,Absolute Wonder Womanwill rally her cohorts and help turn the tide in favor of the Absolute heroes.
