WARNING! This article contains SPOILERS for Yellowjackets season 3, episode 6!The end ofYellowjacketsseason 3, episode 6 includes abombshell reveal in the wilderness as two new strangers arrive, confirming the teens aren’t the only people out there. Since the teens’ plane crashed back in 1996 on their way from New Jersey to Seattle, they had yet to see any signs of human life besides an abandoned cabin with a corpse in the attic, a small plane, and, more recently, a buried box of survival supplies. After about a year in the wilderness,Yellowjackets’ teen charactersstarted to believe they might not see civilization again – until now.

ByYellowjacketsseason 3’s timeline, the teens have descended to a feral state that leaves their former selves almost completely unrecognizable. Not only have they hunted down and cannibalized one another, but they’ve also more frequently resorted to a ruthless, sadistic approach to their conflicts. As such, they couldn’t possibly be prepared forthe sudden arrival of a strange man and woman during their feast of Coach Ben’s dead body. Though these strangers will certainly have plenty of questions about the teens’ backstory and reason for decapitating Ben, the arrival of these new characters brings its own slew of mysteries.

Who Are The Two Strangers At The Teens' Wilderness Camp In Yellowjackets Season 3, Episode 6’s Ending?

Nelson Franklin & Ashley Sutton Play Characters Who Arrive At The Teens' Camp

Thescream of the teens during their feast of Coach Ben draws the attention of an unnamed man (Nelson Franklin) and woman (Ashley Sutton). Unlike the teens that stand before them, these strangers don’t appear to have crash-landed in the wilderness, and certainly don’t seem like they’ve been surviving in the elements for an extended period of time. Rather, they look more like hikers or travelers who recently became lost, or perhaps could even be people who permanently live nearby, similar toYellowjackets’ now-dead Cabin Guy.

These people could be lost, just like the teens, or have intentionally secluded themselves in the wilderness, giving the teens a tough choice of whether to trust them.

Oddly, though, unless they were the screeches from the trees heard inYellowjacketsseason 3,the teens never heard the sound of a crash to indicate the arrival of new peoplein the area. Though it’s always possible that they’ve been around longer, it seems these people would have to have arrived in the wilderness after theYellowjackets’ cabin burned downin the season 2 finale. The teens said the smoke billowed and the smell lasted for weeks, which should have alerted the strangers of their presence earlier.

At first, Lottie believes that she sees Ben’s ghost when the new stangers walk up to their camp.

It’s also possible that these people are the ones who buried thesurvival box labeled “KUH” that Ben foundearlier inYellowjacketsseason 3. The cover over the box looked like it had been made relatively recently, and the box itself didn’t appear to have been sitting for long. Since Ben consumed the food and beverages from the box with ease,it wasn’t buried long enough for anything to expire. These people could be lost, just like the teens, or have intentionally secluded themselves in the wilderness, giving the teens a tough choice of whether to trust them.

Will The Yellowjackets Have To Kill The Strangers After Seeing The Feast Of Ben?

They Know Too Much For The Teens To Let Them Go

Though these strangers seemed innocent and friendly walking up to the teens, they couldn’t have arrived at a worse time. The teens were in the middle of their feast cannibalizing Ben, were seen wearing their ritualistic gowns, and had been screaming and dancing around the fire after Lottie convinced them all to connect more with thepowers of the Wilderness. The man looks around at the teens, then, after spotting Coach Ben’s severed head on a platter, yells, “What the f***?,” before the episode cuts to black.

“He’s The Bridge”: What Akilah’s Vision About Coach Ben Means In Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 5

Akilah has a vision and says Coach Ben Scott is a “bridge” in Yellowjackets season 3, episode 5, but what does this vision really mean?

The teens might have been away from normal society for a year, but they still know that a stranger seeing them dance around a recently decapitated person spells trouble for them. Shauna had already written in her journal about how much they would dread returning to society because they would have to own up to the horrible things they had done, but they certainly didn’t expect that moment to come while still out in the wilderness. Now, they’ll have to get their story straight whenexplaining to these strangers why they’re passionately screaming near Ben’s head on a platter.

Since thepresent-dayYellowjacketssurvivorswere able to keep the truth about their sacrificial ritual, cannibalism, and cult-like activities in the wilderness hidden from the public, the fate of these new strangers immediately appears grim. In the end, it seemsthe teens will either kill these strangers because of how much they know or strike some strange deal with them to keep them quiet. However, considering adult Van notes inYellowjacketsseason 3, episode 6 that the only other people who knew about their rituals are dead, the prospects aren’t good for these new figures’ survival.

The New Wilderness Strangers In Yellowjackets Is Already A Doomed Story

The Teens Still Have About Another Year Left In The Wilderness

If we hadn’t already been introduced to the present-day survivors, then these new strangers would open up a world of possibilities forYellowjackets’ story. However, audiences are already aware of some harsh truths about the teens finally being reunited with people from real society. Perhaps the biggest one is thatwe know these strangers won’t be their key to rescue, as the teens still have almost another year left in the wildernessbefore they finally get home. Therefore, I’m worried that only trouble and darkness will come from these new strangers inYellowjacketsseason 3.
