ThoughZenless Zone Zero’s 1.4 update is still a bit away, the first look at its character banners has been leaked.ZZZhas been another smash hit for HoYoverse, propelling the studio to new heights. Update 1.2 was a huge update for the title, bringing a fresh story that felt more connected to the 1.0 release. Along with that, numerous community-requested changes were made to smooth out the systems and gameplay.
Before 1.4, update 1.3 will further move the story along while seemingly introducing Section 6. This is a group of New Eridu special forces that handle issues within Hollows. Thecharacter banners of 1.3will consist of Lighter from the Sons of Calydon and Yanagi from Section 6. The former is a versatile Stun unit made for Fire and Ice teams. Yanagi is an Anomaly unit that seems like she will take the role of the best Electric unit in the game.

Zenless Zone Zero’s 1.4 update has been leaked to complete the rest of Section 6 by adding Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Haramusa. These two were briefly shown off during the 1.0 story and have been two of the most anticipated characters. However, this has been for two different reasons. Miyabi was shown off in a cutscene as being one of the most powerful characters in lore, making it likely that her kit will be strong. Meanwhile, Haramusa has drawn attention by only being the second male limited agent to join the roster.

Section 6 Sniper
Unfortunately, very little is known about Haramusa so far besides thathe is an Attack character that uses Electric damage. However, based on his design there is some information that can be theorized. Haramusa is a bow user, which means he will be a ranged attacker in some fashion. This is tricky given how the majority of Attack units have been melee-focused, with the only two exceptions being Billy and Zhu Yuan.
Both of these characters specialize in Pierce damage given the nature of guns. With Haramusa being a bow character, he could fall into a weird middle ground of being able to do either. Also, while a different game thanGenshin Impact, it is worth noting how the studio usually handles bow characters.This means that Haramusa could have a variety of playstylesfrom up-close and personal, long-range sniper, or speed attacks.
All Information About Hoshimi Miyabi
Section 6’s Powerful Leader
Luckily, there is more information known about Miyabi, but it must be taken lightly with no beta out yet.Miyabi is an Ice Anomaly unit and the first of her kind. Early leaks have shown she will be adding new Ice effects to fit her unique role. Namely, she will inflict enemies with Ice Scorch, the Ice version of DOT. Along with this, her kit will allow enemies affected by Ice Scorch to take more critical damage. An early prediction for Miyabi shows an excellent synergy with the already powerfulZenless Ice Support unit Soukaku.
Though this information could change or be false, it does fit with what has been seen from Anomaly units. SinceZenlessis so different from other Hoyo games when it comes to dealing damage,Anomaly has to do more than just trigger reactions. That’s why characters like Yanagi orJane Doe and her best buildhave other parts to their kits that push things to a new level. Without these additions, Anomaly would feel beneath Attack units unless every character applied their element quickly, which would make the characters feel too similar.

More Quality-Of-Life
Along with the new story and characters, there have been some rumblings of more additions for 1.4. The majority of these are speculations but are likely true given that they are changes that Hoyo has said it is working on. These include more character models being usable during exploration periods, as currently only the Paethon twins, Caeser, and Burnice are available.The other is a dramatic combat change that will give each character on a team their own decibel charge, so ultimate usage is no longer shared.
Overall, 1.4 is likely to be a highly anticipated update for manyZenlessplayers. Miyabi alone has been a huge wait for many, and it will be interesting to see how a bow user fits into this chaotic, fast-paced game. Any quality-of-life changes to improve the game will also be amazing, but the decibel change could completely alter how combat works in the game.
